At the Research Group for Information Systems at Lule\u00e5 University of Technology, we need to hire a research assistant in information systems with a focus on systems science, digital service development, and data science. The Research Group for Information Systems is part of the Department of Digital Services and Systems, which also includes the Center for Distance-Bridging Technologies and the Center for Security in Society and Critical Infrastructure. We have approximately 35 employees in the department, including researchers, teachers, and project managers.\nDuties\nAs a research assistant, you will work with teaching activities primarily within systems science, digital service development, and data science. You will work with both theoretical and applied areas, together with teachers and researchers from the Information Systems field. The research area is fundamentally socio-technical, which means you need to understand both technical aspects as well as human and organizational dimensions.\nQualifications and Experience\nTo be qualified for a research assistant position, you must have a 3-year university degree in information systems or another relevant field. Strong scientific skills and experience in qualitative and quantitative research, as well as good communication skills in speech and writing. You will participate in teaching activities that are conducted in Swedish, so good knowledge of Swedish is required.\nWe are looking for engaged people who have:\nAn interest in teaching, research, and innovation.\nA solid educational background, for example a bachelor's degree in information systems or related fields.\nInterest in societal and humanistic aspects of information systems.\nGood communication skills to clearly and convincingly convey complex ideas.\n\nTerms\nEmployment as a research assistant is governed by the Higher Education Ordinance 5 Chapter.
