Read more about the Department here: Department of Archaeology, Ancient History, and Conservation\nWe are now seeking three to four research assistants to contribute to the production of archaeological data within the national infrastructure Swedigarch.\nJob Duties\nThe position involves contributing to the digital resources that Swedigarch provides in the form of databases. Job duties include digitization work, georeferencing, processing of existing data, creating metadata, standardization and harmonization of data, as well as quality control of Swedigarch's building database.\nQualifications and Requirements\nAccording to the Higher Education Ordinance chapter 5, a person eligible for employment as a research assistant is one who has been admitted to education at the basic or advanced level.\nRequirements for employment are documented competence in GIS in the form of education or equivalent, and experience with processing archaeological GIS data, including digitization and georeferencing, as well as experience creating data for Swedigarch's building database.\nThe University will primarily consider the applicant who, after a comprehensive assessment of qualifications, competence, and skills, is deemed to have the best conditions to carry out and develop current work tasks and contribute to positive development of operations.\nApplication must include:\na CV,\na brief statement of why you are suitable for the position,\nreference to documented prior education and experience relevant to the position.\n\nAbout the Employment\nThe employment is temporary according to HF 5 chapter \u00a7 12.
