You will be responsible for the software infrastructure required to efficiently develop, train, test, and deploy models with hundreds of billions of parameters on some of Europe's most advanced supercomputer systems. The work encompasses distributed training environments and container platforms through performance optimization and automation of large-scale workflows. A central part of your work is to develop, configure, and optimize software stacks for distributed training, inference, and evaluation of large language models. You will work with modern AI frameworks and develop reproducible, container-based environments for training and evaluation, while ensuring that models can run robustly, efficiently, and reproducibly on thousands of GPUs.\nYou will analyze and eliminate bottlenecks in computation, communication, and storage, optimize GPU utilization, parallelization, and I\/O performance, and develop solutions for monitoring, logging, debugging, and restarting long-running training jobs. You will also contribute to the development of automated workflows for training, model management, and evaluation. You will serve as the technical link between AI engineers, researchers, system developers, and the NAISS operations organization.
