We provide services to children ages 0-17 with permanent functional impairments such as autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, or mobility impairments.\nWork is conducted in interdisciplinary teams together with social workers, speech-language pathologists, psychologists, physical therapists, and special educators. A total of seven occupational therapists work at the clinic. Our service area covers the northwestern part of the region, including the municipalities of J\u00e4rf\u00e4lla, Solna, Sollentuna, Upplands-V\u00e4sby, Sigtuna, and Upplands-Bro. Our clinic is located in pleasant facilities in central Sollentuna with proximity to commuter trains, buses, restaurants, and shops, approximately 15 minutes travel time from the city center.\nAbout the Position\nWe are now seeking an occupational therapist for our autism team. The target group is children and adolescents ages 5-17 with autism and their networks. You will have independent, varied, and highly stimulating work. Your tasks will consist of a broad spectrum of occupational therapy interventions. Your role includes disseminating knowledge to parents and networks about support to help patients manage their daily life activities. The work includes functional assessments, mappings, prescriptions and follow-ups of aids for example cognitive support, advice and support regarding home modifications or structure in daily routines. Interventions can be provided both individually and in group form. Our patients often have complex needs requiring collaboration, not only within the team, but with healthcare colleagues, municipal services, and other authorities. Tasks are varied and require flexibility. Work takes place primarily at the clinic but sometimes also in patients' home environments.\nAbout You\nWe are seeking a licensed occupational therapist with an interest in working with children with various functional impairments and their networks. It is a merit if you have experience in rehabilitation or other work with people in our target group. You have a strong ability to work both independently and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
