This position will suit a social person whose main drive is to provide an excellent and memorable experience for all guests.\nYour duties will include:\nWorking closely with the team to learn the correct ways of service and how to improve the guest experience continuously\nLearn how to make all in house cocktails and an extensive number of classic cocktails in order to help the customer to make an excellent choice based on their described preferences\nStudy Japanese and other world whiskies in order to confidently be able to recommend and describe whiskies on the whisky menu\nPreparing food and develop the food concept\nPrepare cocktails, in-house made ingredients and batches to ensure the bar is always fully stocked and not missing any items\nCommunicate efficiently, verbally and written, with the team to ensure any low stock items, feedback, points of improvements are brought to the attention of management\nRunning every service efficiently with great attention to detail to achieve great customer satisfaction\nWorking on the floor, conversing with guests and assisting them in making a great choice of cocktails, food, whisky and any other spirits.\nEnsuring every single guest is looked after and enjoying themselves at all times\nEnsuring the correct set-up of the venue and that it is checked and maintained throughout the day and night\nDealing with guests regarding any enquiries they may have\nBuilding a positive relationship with our regular guests\nAssisting with other tasks in the venue as required\nCarry out all our masterclasses such as Cocktail Making, whisky tastings, gin tasting and more\nActively develop cocktails and contribute to the menu development\nCarry out weekly and monthly stocktake of beverages\nTrain and instruct new staff members\nPlan and carry out whisky tastings and trade events on an ongoing basis\n\n\n\nIdeal candidate:\n- Strong cocktail background with a proven track record of creative cocktail creation and development\n- Previous bar manager or assistant bar manager experience\n- Strong knowledge and interest in whisky, preferably Japanese\n- Experience in carrying out tasting and classes\n- A problem solving mindset and ability to find solutions to maintenance issues\n- A business savvy mindset; ability to develop both the food and drinks offering\n- Willingness to work in every department to help grow the business, including kitchen\nThe position is full time.
