Through professional and long-term work, we create the conditions for stability, development, and hope for the future for foster care placed children and young people.\n\nYou will become part of a work team consisting of a unit manager, three senior staff, and 17 child welfare secretaries, plus our administrative support. Our workplace is centrally located in G\u00e4vle. We work closely with Foster Care Unit, Support.\n\nAs a new employee, you will have access to a mentor and an individual introduction with internal supervision.\n\nYour work tasks include:\n\n\t\u2022 Take responsibility for authority operations according to the Social Services Act and the Care of Young Persons Act.\n\t\u2022 Document, investigate, and make decisions according to current legislation.\n\t\u2022 Follow up on the child's development and care during placement.\n\t\u2022 Conduct regular individual conversations with the child.\n\t\u2022 Ensure the child's participation and make the child's voice heard.\n\t\u2022 Collaborate with guardians, foster families, schools, and other networks.\n\t\u2022 Pay attention to and follow the child's health, schooling, and social situation.\n\t\u2022 Make regular visits to see the placed children in their foster homes.\n\nThe position means you will be the responsible child welfare secretary for foster care placed children and young people. You are responsible for follow-up and legally secure authority operations, while building trustful relationships and ensuring that the child's needs, rights, and participation are at the center throughout the process.
