The Prosecutor's Office in V\u00e4ster\u00e5s is now seeking a legal clerk.\n\nYour Responsibilities\nAs a legal clerk, you will perform legal work alongside prosecutors. You will assist them in their work and participate in preparatory work during criminal investigations and in relation to various prosecutorial decisions. You will also help monitor certain prosecutors' tasks, propose measures, and participate in various cooperation meetings. You may also assist prosecutors in court proceedings. As a legal clerk, you will also assist prosecutors and case handlers with various administrative matters.\nYour daily work is event-driven, and cases can come in quickly, requiring you to make fast decisions and assess what is urgent.\n\nYour Qualities and Qualifications\nWe are looking for you who have completed or are nearing the end of your legal education. Upon starting as a legal clerk, you must have completed your law degree.\nWe want you to\nhave a strong interest in criminal and procedural law and the activities conducted by the Office of the Prosecutor General\nbe thorough, structured, and able to follow the guidelines and procedures that exist\nbe initiative-taking and responsible and be able to independently prepare your cases\nhave the ability to prioritize, work persistently and efficiently\nbe stress-resilient, as workload can be high at certain times\nwork well with others, build good working relationships, and have an open attitude toward your surroundings\nbe service-oriented\nhave the ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing\nhave good communication skills.\n\nWe place great importance on personal suitability.\nIt is meritorious if you have gained experience with criminal cases through studies, internship, or work during or after your studies.\n\nAbout the Employment\nThe employment is a permanent position with a six-month probationary period.\nThe requirement for this position is that you hold a Nordic law degree.\nWe offer a salary level based on tasks adapted for someone early in their legal career.
