Welcome to us!\nYour responsibilities\nAs a focus librarian, you work to promote reading together with the school's staff. You collaborate closely with educators at the school and in the after-school program, planning how to structure reading instruction to promote literacy and engage students. The work is carried out in different environments at the school.\nYour responsibilities also include presenting books, working with source criticism, and more across all grade levels. You work to strengthen the library study environment through furniture and interior design. You are responsible for managing the library's resources, such as books and other media.\nYour workplace\nHimnaskolan is centrally located in Linghem with access to a lovely outdoor environment featuring open lawns, forest, and an outdoor swimming pool. The school has approximately 550 students in grades F\u20136 and 70 educators working at the school and in the after-school program. Staff are organized in grade-level teams where school personnel collaborate with after-school staff for the benefit of students. Everyone at Himnaskolan works to promote good community and cooperation for a pleasant work environment. It is an advantage if you have experience working in a school library and\/or in primary school grades F\u20136. We also see it as an advantage if you have experience promoting reading among children and young people, as well as experience in instruction and teaching in media and information literacy.\nYou have strong Swedish language skills, both written and verbal.
