Our work environment is the Vi3 Division at the Department of Information Technology, which brings together a unique combination of expertise in computational image processing, human-computer interaction, and data science education.\nWe have strong ties to NMI, National Microscopy Infrastructure, and are part of Euro-BioImaging. BIIF thus has good connections to infrastructure for both image acquisition and data analysis.\nJob Responsibilities\nWe are seeking a bioinformatician with a strong interest in developing, implementing, and adapting image analysis tools for quantitative analysis of microscopy data. There is a strong focus on large-scale analysis based on machine learning, deep learning\/AI, and handling and analysis of large 3D microscopy data. You will work on shorter and longer projects and provide research support to researchers in Sweden. The position also includes organizing user meetings and courses\/workshops in digital image processing and image analysis with applications in life science.\nRequired Qualifications\nYou must have a doctoral degree in digital image analysis\/image processing or equivalent, or alternatively in bioinformatics\/biomedicine\/biology or equivalent. Documented experience in programming and development of digital image analysis methods in the bioimage analysis field is required. This includes handling and analysis of large 3D microscopy data, experience applying, improving, and retraining deep learning methods (DL), and use of GPU-HPC clusters. Experience building tools and delivering them to researchers is required.
