Your primary responsibilities in this role are to investigate, assess the need for support and assistance, make decisions on benefits, and follow up on interventions.\nYou work within the social services and handle cases relating to home care services. As a case officer, you determine what service or support from the municipality is needed. Decisions are made based on applicable legislation in the field and are based on information that you, as a case officer, gather. An important part of the work is to maintain contact with those who have applied for, or are entitled to, benefits. You will often also meet their relatives or representatives. It is important that you can both communicate with the elderly\/clients and are capable of making decisions that may be experienced as difficult and life-defining for the person seeking help.\nThe elderly unit is one of three units within the public administration division of the Social Services Department.
