The position includes developing teaching competencies that include instruction at both undergraduate and advanced levels, as well as supervision of doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers. The employee is expected to actively seek external funding for their research activities. The position is limited to 6 years, consisting of 75% independent research and 25% teaching. This is a tenure-track position, which makes it possible to develop and establish long-term research. An Assistant Professor has the right to, upon request, be considered for promotion to Associate Professor.\nLearn about the research conducted at the Faculty of Science and Technology's departments here: Research at Departments and Research Centers\n\nQualifications\nTo be eligible for employment as an Assistant Professor, one must hold a doctoral degree or have equivalent scientific competence. Primarily, candidates should have completed a doctoral degree or reached equivalent competence no more than seven years before the application deadline for the Assistant Professor position.\nHowever, those who completed their doctoral degree or reached equivalent competence earlier may also be considered if there are special circumstances.
