They work primarily with building, maintaining, and developing railway infrastructure, for example in track\/railbed, electrical power, signal, and telecommunications. They perform both ongoing maintenance of existing railway facilities and major new construction and renovation projects in Sweden and Norway.\nYou will work with Infranord's operations and maintenance contract in Malm\u00f6. The work includes both preventive and corrective maintenance on platforms and track areas. The position involves outdoor work and you will work primarily daytime on weekdays. Work at night and on weekends occurs, and you are on standby according to a rotating schedule. Because the work is performed over a larger geographic area, you need to be comfortable driving a car for work as some days may involve many miles behind the wheel.\nAs a Signal Technician, you are responsible for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the railway's signal systems. You ensure that signals, switches, and other safety systems function correctly to guarantee safe and efficient train movements. The role also includes working with system integration, following safety regulations, and documenting completed work.
