Now Honda is seeking a Boat Builder & Application Engineer Lead who will play a central role in the continued development.\n\nThis is an unusual combination of marine engineering, application, relationship building and business development. You will work closely with Swedish and European boat builders and become the link between their products and Honda's marine solutions.\n\nAs Boat Builder & Application Engineer Lead, you are responsible for developing Honda's relationships and technical collaboration with selected boat builders. The focus is primarily on larger outboard applications where the right combination of engine, boat, rigging, steering and electronics is critical to the final result.\n\nYou will work with both existing partnerships and identifying new opportunities where Honda can become a greater part of boat builders' future offerings.\n\nThe role is also international. Honda Marine works at the European level with strategic Boat Builder Alliances, which means you collaborate with colleagues and partners in other markets. This could include, for example, helping a Nordic boat builder establish itself through Honda's dealer network in other European markets or introducing a European partner to the Nordic market.\n\nIn this role, you will, among other things:\n\u2022 Build and develop long-term relationships with Swedish and European boat builders.\n\u2022 Identify new Boat Builder partnerships and opportunities to increase Honda's presence, particularly in larger outboard applications.\n\u2022 Provide technical support regarding engine selection, rigging, installation, boat\/engine configuration and product application.\n\u2022 Coordinate rigging tests, performance tests and evaluations together with boat builders and dealers.\n\u2022 Work with modern systems such as electronic steering, digital instruments and drive-by-wire solutions.\n\u2022 Document test results, configurations, rigging solutions and technical information.\n\u2022 Support pre-rigging work, component selection and complete Boat Builder packages.\n\u2022 Analyze the market, competitors' products and boat builders' future needs.\n\u2022 Collaborate with Honda's European Marine organization on shared boat builders and market initiatives.\n\u2022 Participate in tests, demonstrations, trade shows and other marine activities.\n\nYou work independently but in close collaboration with the Country Section Manager, the Swedish Marine team and Honda's European organization.\n\nThe position involves regular travel within Sweden and Europe. A Class B driver's license is therefore required.\n\nYour Profile\n\nFor this role, we are looking for someone who truly understands boats and marine engineering.\n\nYou may, for example, have worked at a boat builder, engine manufacturer, marina, technical distributor or in another role where you gained deep understanding of how boats are built, configured, rigged and optimized.\n\nYou don't need to already be an expert on Honda's products. However, you need to have the technical foundation to quickly understand an application, discuss solutions with a boat builder and build credibility on technical matters.\n\nExperience with outboard engines and rigging is particularly relevant, but experience from, for example, inboard engines, marine drivetrains or similar technical environments may also be of interest. For Honda, understanding the marine industry and boat builders' reality is central.\n\nWe would like to see that you:\n\u2022 Have solid technical understanding of boats, marine drivetrains, rigging or related areas.\n\u2022 Have experience from the marine industry, preferably from a boat builder, engine supplier or other technical marine operation.\n\u2022 Can read and understand technical documentation and translate it into practical solutions.\n\u2022 Are comfortable with digital systems and modern marine electronics.\n\u2022 Have the ability to combine technical understanding with a commercial perspective.\n\u2022 Are relationship-focused and confident in dialogue with both technicians and business leaders.\n\u2022 Are organized and can document tests, configurations and activities in a clear manner.\n\u2022 Are self-driven and thrive with great freedom and responsibility.\n\u2022 Communicate fluently in Swedish and have good knowledge of English.\n\u2022 Have a Class B driver's license and the ability to travel regularly.\n\nYou don't need to come from a pure sales role.
