The work involves preventing and reducing the risk of fires and accidents, as well as minimizing the consequences of accidents that occur. A typical work week can therefore consist of practicing various procedures to maintain our capabilities, educating and informing the public, responding to traffic accidents, fires, cardiac arrests, drowning incidents and animal rescues, as well as maintaining and servicing vehicles and equipment. As a firefighter, you have the opportunity to develop our operations and participate in various work groups based on your interests and skills. In addition to the personal development you gain, there is also an opportunity for a career where experience and further education can lead to positions such as crew leader\/group chief, incident commander\/fire chief, or fire inspector.\n\nThe Fire Department in Eskilstuna is seeking several firefighters who want to be part of the development of the firefighting profession and our operations.\r\n\r\nQUALIFICATIONS\r\nWe are looking for you who:\n\n\t\u2022 has completed approved SMO training or previous 15-week firefighter training at the start of employment. Alternatively, RiB firefighter with 5 years of experience and completed GRIB 2 or equivalent training.\n\t\u2022 has had at least 3 months of employment at a full-time station.\n\t\u2022 has valid fitness certificate for work with smoke and chemical diving according to AFS 2023:15.\n\t\u2022 is a swimmer equivalent to Guldbojen.\n\t\u2022 is an approved smoke diver according to AFS 2007:7 (Smoke and chemical diving).\n\t\u2022 can work in confined spaces and at heights.\n\t\u2022 holds BE and C driving licenses.\n\nIt is also beneficial if you:\n\n\t\u2022 have good knowledge of Eskilstuna and adjacent municipalities.\n\t\u2022 have experience with full-time work at the Fire Department in Eskilstuna.\n\t\u2022 have a CE driving license.\n\nAs a person, you are flexible, cooperative, and resourceful.
