We aim to create a future for Ale residents in need of our services so they can live an independent and meaningful life. Our overarching goal is to work so that each individual can achieve an independent life with their own income. We are committed to strengthening our social work to better support and guide individuals on their journey toward independence by putting the individual at the center and tailoring our support to each person's unique needs and circumstances.\nThe unit is part of Individual and Family Services. All units work closely together to best meet the needs of those we serve. The Employment and Financial Support Unit handles five main areas: employment, financial support, integration, housing, and budget and debt counseling. The unit is led by two unit managers, two senior social workers, and one work leader.\nThe office is centrally located in N\u00f6dinge center and is easily accessible by public transportation. We value a health-promoting approach toward each other and those we serve. We work close to operations because we believe the best solutions come from those working in the core services.\nJob Duties\nWith us, you will have an important and meaningful role where you provide qualified advice and support to people who need help creating a long-term sustainable economy. The assignment is based on the principle of helping people help themselves\u2014your work is about giving people tools, knowledge, and guidance so they can take control of their own financial situation. This can range from creating a budget to managing debt or applying for debt relief.\nIn this role, you will work both independently and in close collaboration with other actors. You will have many contact points, including with social services, Kronofogdemyndigheten, and other authorities. The work requires sensitivity and the ability to build trust in interactions with people in financially vulnerable situations. At the same time, you need to be able to maintain a clear boundary between the advisory role and official duties and ensure that advice is given professionally, independently, and objectively.\nPart of the assignment is preventive work, which means you sometimes hold information meetings for, for example, municipal employees, students, or organizations. Through your commitment, you also contribute to developing work methods and collaborations and to the continued development of operations as changes in the new social services legislation occur.\nQualifications\nWe are looking for someone who has:\n- A university degree in, for example, economics, social work, law, political science, or other relevant education.\n- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.\n- Good analytical and empathetic abilities and the ability to adapt communication to your audience.\n- The ability to structure, plan, and independently take responsibility for your work.\n- A service-oriented and positive attitude.\nIt is advantageous if you have experience working at Kronofogdemyndigheten, providing financial advice at a bank, or working in social services in the private or public sector.\n- Knowledge of the public assignment, legislation, and special knowledge of personal finance.\n- Experience working in the BOSS+ system.\n- Good computer skills and high IT proficiency.\nOther Information\nWe place great emphasis on your ability to meet people in a respectful, individualized, and professional manner.
