We are building the electricity grid of the future today and operate critical infrastructure that distributes more than half of all electricity produced in Sweden.\nOur mission is truly important \u2013 become part of Vattenfall Eldistribution!\nWe are now seeking an experienced Construction Manager \u2013 Ground and Infrastructure to strengthen our team.\nResponsibilities and Tasks:\nAs a construction manager at Vattenfall, you have a central role in our investment projects, primarily within cable projects but also in certain substation projects. You are responsible for staffing and supporting projects as well as ensuring that construction activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and with high quality.\nThe role is varied and combines project work with regular site visits. An important part of the assignment is also to procure, manage, and follow up external construction managers as well as to support and collaborate with project managers through different phases of projects.\nYou have great freedom to plan and structure your work with significant personal responsibility, including when and how project travels are conducted.\nWith us, you have the opportunity to influence and further develop Vattenfall's approach to construction management and project implementation. The role offers good opportunities to shape working methods and contribute to business development together with engaged and experienced colleagues in a skilled team.\nJob Requirements\nWe are looking for someone with:\nMultiple years of experience in construction and infrastructure projects, including contractor management, inspections, and work on large projects\nDocumented experience with infrastructure projects or construction projects with focus on ground and infrastructure. Experience with cable projects and construction management in large projects is advantageous\nGood knowledge of contractor law and industry standards such as AB 04, AMA, and MER Anl\u00e4ggning. Experience with ABT 06 is advantageous\nExperience working with construction contracts, including notifications, change order handling, and monitoring of time, cost, and quality\nB-class driver's license is a requirement\nCommunication skills in Swedish and English\n\nTo thrive and succeed in this role, you are someone who collaborates well with others and easily builds relationships. You will have many points of contact, both internally and externally, and need to communicate clearly and constructively, even in situations where conditions change or projects do not go according to plan. The role also involves negotiations, which requires good communication skills and a professional approach.\nYou work in a structured manner and have the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple issues in parallel. At the same time, you are comfortable handling uncertainty and changing conditions.
