We follow our patients over time to see how interventions make a difference in daily life for both patient and family. The service is outpatient-based and operates during daytime hours without on-call duty. Habilitation works in close collaboration with, among others, pediatric clinics, child and adolescent psychiatry clinics, DSBS, primary health care, and school health services.\n\nYou can read more about Habilitation on our website: www.vgregion.se\/hoh\n\nJob Responsibilities\nOne of our colleagues has taken on two major assignments at regional and national levels, and therefore we are now seeking a part-time substitute. The position is located within Habilitation for Children and Youth in Gothenburg, placed at the Hisingen clinic. Patients are distributed among one autism\/ID clinic and two movement disorder clinics. Patients with autism\/ID belong to the Hisingen clinic. As a dietitian, you will have comprehensive knowledge of all patient groups as we collaborate and distribute resources based on needs. You will work in a multidisciplinary team with doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, psychologists, speech therapists, and special educators.\n\nWithin Habilitation for Children and Youth, we work with the whole picture around the patient together with other professions. You will be able to work independently with assessments, nutritional treatment, and counseling for the patient and people around the patient. The work is primarily directed toward patients with underweight, malnutrition, growth deviations, and eating difficulties due to functional disability. Many of the patients have a gastrostomy, so experience with enteral nutrition is advantageous. The work is varied.\n\nHabilitation offers interventions individually or in groups. Interventions are provided directly to the patient or indirectly to relatives and\/or staff in the patient's immediate environment.\n\nYou will be offered an introduction period and collegial supervision. You work based on scientifically proven methods and clinical experience and have a good ability to organize and structure your patient work.
