Questions regarding employment, wage formation, labor mobility, business dynamics, productivity, and business growth and survival can be studied within the project.\nThe research is largely based on extensive microdata from SCB with linked register information about individuals and businesses as well as other relevant entities. The project thus provides particularly good opportunities to study the interaction between businesses and individuals over time and between regions and sectors.\nThe PhD student will be employed at \u00d6rebro universitet and be part of the research environment Economics and Statistics at the School of Business. The work is conducted in close collaboration with researchers at HFI and Ratio. The PhD student is expected to actively participate in joint research activities, seminars, and work meetings and, together with researchers at the three environments, develop research questions within the project's scope. Recurring activities in Stockholm will be part of the project.\nSince the PhD project is conducted in close collaboration with researchers at HFI and Ratio, the ability to develop and conduct research together with others will be an important part of the assessment.\n\nEducation and PhD Employment\nThe doctoral education consists of courses and independent research work presented in a doctoral thesis. The education comprises 240 higher education credits, corresponding to four years of full-time studies.\nThe education position is linked to a full-time PhD student employment during the study period.
