This doctoral position offers advanced training in organic synthesis, with a focus on developing new synthetic methods through the use of, but not limited to, photoredox catalysis.\nResponsibilities\nYou will primarily dedicate yourself to your doctoral education, which includes participation in research projects as well as doctoral training courses, seminars, and conferences.\nThe responsibilities mainly involve organic synthesis and molecular design, together with purification and characterization using chromatography and spectroscopic techniques such as LC-MS and NMR. You will be responsible for documenting experimental work, analyzing data, and assisting in the completion of scientific manuscripts. Additionally, the role includes planning experiments and presenting research results at group meetings and seminars.\nThe responsibilities may also include participation in teaching and other departmental work (however, no more than 20% of working time).\n\nQualifications\nTo be admitted and employed as a PhD student, you must meet the requirements below.\nBasic Eligibility Requirements\nYou meet the general eligibility requirements for doctoral education if you have:\ncompleted an advanced degree, or\ncompleted at least 240 higher education credits, of which at least 60 are at the advanced level, or\nacquired equivalent knowledge by other means.\n\nSpecific Eligibility for Organic Chemistry\nYou meet the specific requirements for organic chemistry if you have:\nat least 15 higher education credits within the subject area, of which at least 7.5 are at the advanced level, and a thesis of at least 30 higher education credits at the advanced level within the subject area, or\na degree as a civil engineer in chemical engineering, biotechnology, ecosystem engineering, or technical nanoscience.
