With us, you get a secure employment and opportunities for development and career advancement.\nWork tasks\nThe Drinking Water Production department is responsible for drinking water treatment for Gothenburg City at the two water treatment plants Alelyckan and Lackareb\u00e4ck.\nThe water treatment plants are in a period with major projects to ensure the people of Gothenburg have access to clean and good drinking water now and in the future. To ensure drinking water production, we need to strengthen our operations organization with an operations technician who enjoys varied work tasks both indoors and outdoors in our facilities. With us, you have the opportunity to work with our most important food product, drinking water, together with engaged and competent colleagues in a technology-intensive facility that is undergoing a major renewal process.\nThe treatment process at Lackareb\u00e4ck water treatment plant is controlled by the operations team in the control room. As an operations technician, you work close to the process and are responsible for ensuring that production runs stably, safely, and with the right quality. Most of your work tasks are performed in our facilities.\nIn the role as operations technician, it means that you, for example:\nconduct daily rounds where you check operating status, flows, pressure, and water quality\nidentify deviations in the process and take action or report as needed\nwork with sampling and monitoring of water quality according to established procedures\nperform inspection, calibration, and simple maintenance of process equipment and online instruments\nparticipate in troubleshooting and measures for operational disruptions\nreceive and handle process chemicals in a safe manner\ndocument completed work and events in operations and maintenance systems\ncooperate with colleagues, maintenance personnel, and external parties in daily work\nparticipate in work to develop and improve processes and working methods\n\nIn the long term, as an operations technician, you will be part of the operations team, which occurs according to a rotating schedule, as you will also work in the control room.
