The workplace is located in airy, pleasant facilities spanning two floors with a total of 600 sqm. The workplace is currently divided into different activity areas such as music, studio, pod, and carpentry, and includes close collaboration with colleagues. The facility accepts employees of working age. The facility has a capacity of 46 places. The facility is located in Slavsta at Palmbladsgatan 2 in Uppsala and has good bus connections. We have a contract with Uppsala municipality and also accept individuals from other municipalities on individual agreements. At Palmbladsgatan, we believe in lifelong learning and want to create a facility where each individual is given the opportunity to succeed and conditions to grow.\n\nAbout the position\nWork as a work instructor offers you varied and eventful work where adaptations and changes are always in focus. The work as a work instructor offers you the opportunity to further develop activities within each area while working in a creative environment. You will also collaborate with other colleagues and participate in the overall work and planning for the entire facility. All staff have a role as a contact person for one or more participants. The contact person role includes, among other things, working with the participant and\/or their representative to establish an implementation plan for how and when assistance will be provided and how we work together to reach the participant's goals and sub-goals. Participants have functional variations covered by LSS person category 1, including intellectual disability, autism or autism-like conditions. Additional diagnoses may also occur, such as dyslexia, ADHD, ADD, Tourette's, and behavioral issues. We apply a six-month probationary period.\n\nIn addition to work as a work instructor, the position involves supervising and supporting colleagues as well as handling certain administrative tasks at the facility level. This part is temporary and may change based on the facility's needs.\n\nThe position is 1 part-time role at approximately 90%. Working hours are daytime, Monday to Friday.\n\nWho are you?\nYou need to embrace change, be driven, have good organizational and planning abilities since your work will involve creating schedules for the activity area at both individual and group levels. You need to have the ability to share your knowledge in a pedagogical way and put participants in the spotlight. Your work primarily involves instructing in daily activities. You plan, initiate, drive, conclude, and follow up on processes and work tasks related to textile and wood crafts, and you provide support and service based on care decisions. You are service-oriented and maintain professional conduct in all situations and work easily with participants, family members, colleagues, and other partners such as residential facilities and case managers.
