Our mission is serious, but our daily work is characterized by joy and we are considerate and helpful colleagues.\nYour New Role\nThe IT unit is on an exciting development journey focused on increasing development pace, developing robust and secure IT services, modernizing platforms and work methods, and ensuring that IT operations meet the authority's established security requirements. Through secure, stable, and modern IT, the unit contributes to the authority's ability to carry out its socially important mission \u2013 that no one becomes ill, injured, or dies from work.\nThe IT unit is part of the Support and Coordination department, where the unit manager reports to the department manager. The unit consists of approximately 40 employees, organized into four sections: Helpdesk, Infrastructure, IT Development, and Digitalization. The unit is responsible for user support, operations, infrastructure, systems management, technical development, and digitalization.\nAs Unit Manager for IT and Development, you lead a central operation with the task of ensuring that the authority's IT services, systems, and digital solutions create maximum value for the organization. You have overall responsibility for the unit's operations, personnel, finances, and development. You lead four section managers, are responsible for the IT unit's management group, and participate in the department's management group. In this role, you collaborate with the authority's various business areas to develop work methods, strengthen information and IT security, and create sustainable long-term digital solutions. You also play an important role in developing the authority's governance and prioritization of IT, including portfolio management and an increased focus on AI.\nWe are looking for an experienced leader with experience managing through other managers. You have experience in strategic IT leadership and are confident in driving change and development in a complex organization.\nTo succeed in this role, you have the ability to create engagement, build good collaborations, and see the bigger picture. You value cooperation, both within the department and with other parts of the authority.\nYour Background\nThe role requires you to have:\nPost-secondary education in a relevant field or other education combined with relevant experience for the position\nSeveral years of current and documented management experience in similar operations with budget and personnel responsibility\nCurrent experience leading development and change initiatives within IT with good results\nCurrent experience with management group work\nCurrent experience leading other managers\nExperience with internal and external collaboration\nVery good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing\n\nIt is an advantage if you also have:\nExperience with IT work in public sector operations\nExperience with governance in information security and cybersecurity\nKnowledge of strategic use of Artificial Intelligence\nExperience with agile work methods\n\nAs a person, we believe you will thrive in this leadership role if you are driven by developing the operation and have the ability to engage and build trust with others.
