It is part of the Migration Agency's control organization and is responsible for control activities related to foreign missions. The unit's mandate includes being part of identifying risks and vulnerabilities regarding abuse, crime, and threats to society in the agency's case processes. The work takes place in close cooperation with the national control unit and consists, among other things, of mapping country-based phenomena, methods, and actors. Additionally, following up on tips and indicators, developing new work methods, and providing support in investigations for staff at the Migration Agency and foreign missions.\nThe unit collaborates with other parts of the agency and migration activities at foreign missions. Collaboration also takes place with, among others, police and ID liaison officers, foreign authorities and organizations, forums for local Schengen cooperation, and other networks within the control field.\nAs head of the unit, you will receive a meaningful assignment and colleagues with genuine commitment to our mission. You will be responsible for intensive development work in advancing the Migration Agency's activities within the area in which the unit operates.\nAbout your assignment\nAs a unit manager, you have personnel, budget, and workplace environment responsibility for the unit and its employees. The role is part of the sector's management and you report to the sector manager.\nA central part of the assignment is initially leading the establishment of the new unit. You translate the assignment into clear goals, shared priorities, functioning structures, working methods, and forms of collaboration. You ensure that the unit's knowledge, mappings, and analyses are translated into relevant risk assessments, priorities, decisions, measures, and support to the affected parts of the operations. You lead employees with specialist expertise and create conditions for them to develop in their roles and carry out their assignments with high quality.
