Then we believe you will be a great fit for our team!\nProject Description\nWe are now seeking a senior analyst in telecommunications regulation in a project where we promote digitalization and inclusive societies through capacity development of the sector in sub-Saharan Africa. Then we believe you will be a great fit for our team!\nResponsibilities\nThe role as researcher includes:\nResponsibility for research in telecommunications regulation.\nResponsibility for analyzing telecommunications policies.\nLecturing on telecommunications regulation.\nProviding advice to our partner organizations.\nEnsuring that research reports are subject-matter specific at the detailed level.\nCompilation, analysis, and dissemination of results from SPIDER-supported initiatives.\nSupporting the development of SPIDER's network.\nRepresenting SPIDER's program in various national and international ICT4D activities.\n\nInternational business travel will occur.\nQualifications\nA researcher is employed primarily for research and must have completed a doctorate or have a foreign degree assessed as equivalent to a doctorate.\nAssessment Criteria\nIn the appointment, special emphasis will be placed on relevant subject knowledge and scientific competence. Furthermore, emphasis will be placed on documented experience in research and qualified analytical work in telecommunications regulation, digitalization, development work, and\/or global digital development. Special emphasis will also be placed on the ability to translate research and analysis into policy-relevant knowledge, advice, and capacity development for different target groups. Language skills, especially in languages spoken in sub-Saharan Africa, will be of particular importance.\nEmphasis will also be placed on experience working in international and inter-institutional environments, good collaboration and communication skills, lecturing abilities, and the ability to independently plan, conduct, and communicate research and analytical work.
