MGeo develops and applies cutting-edge methods, models, and techniques in environmental science, quaternary and bedrock geology, paleontology, physical geography, biodiversity and ecosystem science, remote sensing, geographic information science (GIS), and computational science in environment and health to study processes ranging from the microscopic to the planetary scale, across all time scales.\nDuties\nThis fixed-term researcher position is part of the Horizon Europe-funded research project VALOR, in which 16 partner institutes collaborate to investigate the impact of land use and climate change on pollinator diversity, ecosystem services, agricultural systems, and socioeconomic resilience in Europe. We are seeking an empirically experienced pollinator ecologist to strengthen the project team and lead the completion of analyses and scientific manuscripts.\nThe researcher will process collected material and analyze and compile results from the project's ecological field studies, and possibly conduct supplementary field studies. The role includes producing and publishing scientific manuscripts based on the project's collected data. The researcher is also expected to participate in annual meetings and other meetings within VALOR and present their work and that of the project team.\nRequirements\nDoctorat in environmental science or another subject area relevant to the position\nAt least two years of postdoctoral research experience\nVery strong, documented knowledge of pollinator ecology\nExperience leading and conducting field studies focused on pollinators\nDocumented experience publishing scientific articles\n\nAdditional merits:\nExperience handling insect samples and species identification\nExperience with pollen analysis\nExperience with network analysis for plant-pollinator networks\nProficiency with geographic tools for field work planning and geospatial analysis\nStrong Swedish language skills\nClass B driver's license\n\nWe will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
