In total, SRC has approximately 165 employees.\nMore information about us can be found at Stockholm Resilience Centre (SRC).\nResponsibilities\nThe position is linked to the EU Horizon Europe project SEADOTs and the Biodiversa+ project UrbanOcean and will involve the following tasks:\nContribute to the continued development and documentation of an agent-based model (ABM) for Baltic Sea fisheries, including fishing fleet behavior and fish population dynamics under various policy scenarios.\nAnalyze relevant environmental, fisheries (e.g., AIS vessel tracking data, logbooks, ICES stock assessments, and HELCOM spatial data), and socioeconomic data for the Baltic Sea, and ensure that FAIR data standards are followed for integration into the agent-based model and the EDITO platform.\nAnalyze and visualize model results and empirical data for project outputs, scientific publications, and science communication.\nSupport collaboration with experts and other stakeholders to validate model assumptions and results.\nContribute to writing scientific reports and research articles.\n\nQualifications\nWe are seeking a candidate with previous experience working with Baltic Sea fisheries and agent-based modeling, as well as the following qualifications:\nA master's degree in a relevant field such as sustainability science, marine\/fisheries science, environmental science, or a related discipline.\nDocumented experience with agent-based modeling, preferably using NetLogo.\nExperience working with spatial data and GIS tools (QGIS or similar GIS software).\nProficiency in R for statistical analysis and data visualization.\nYou must have the ability to write scientific texts in English as well as strong communication and collaboration skills.\n\nMerits:\nFamiliarity with the European Digital Twin Ocean and EMODnet data submission processes as well as FAIR data principles.\nPrevious experience from EU-funded or other international research projects.\nKnowledge of the Baltic Sea environment and fisheries.\nExperience in project management.\nWorking knowledge of Swedish.\n\nAbout the Position\nThis is a fixed-term position at 60% for eleven months.
