The research environment is characterized by modern and advanced methodology and has a strong international profile. MBW is one of the larger departments within the Faculty of Natural Sciences at Stockholm University with approximately 30 research groups and about 180 employees, of which approximately 50 are doctoral students.\nThe position is affiliated with Professor Samakovlis's research group at the Department of Molecular Biosciences, Wenner-Gren Institute. More information about us can be found at: Department of Molecular Bioscience Wenner-Gren Institute.\nDuties\nLung Development and Regeneration\nThe project combines genetic cell marking and FACS-based cell sorting with snRNA-seq and snATAC-seq (Multiome) from the same cell nuclei, together with spatially resolved methods to: 1) analyze differences in gene expression and chromatin accessibility between cell types and cell states along the airway epithelium. 2) define enhancer-driven gene regulatory networks (GRN = regulatory elements, transcription factors & target genes) that determine and maintain airway epithelial cell identity 3) test GRNs (e.g., synthetic enhancers) and regulators (e.g., transcription factors) and their effects on cell identity and cellular functions in vitro.\nAnalysis of multiomics data, in vitro tissue culture, in situ analysis of gene expression\nQualifications\nSpecial emphasis will be placed on experimental skill and Master's courses in bioinformatics and statistics.\nAbout the Employment\nThe employment is full-time and limited to a maximum of 6 months. Start date by agreement.\nWhat We Offer\nWith us you get the dynamic interplay between higher education and research that makes Stockholm University an exciting and creative environment.
