Welcome to apply for a job with us!\n \nWe are seeking a research engineer at the Department of Computer Science with a focus on developing laboratory environments for research and education in cybersecurity.\nAbout the position\nYour responsibilities will consist of developing and further developing systems for research and teaching in cybersecurity and adaptive software systems. Furthermore, the work will include working with research articles and teaching assignments.\nAbout you\nWe are looking for someone with deep technical understanding of cybersecurity architectures and is motivated to develop environments to enable cutting-edge research in cybersecurity and education. You are expected to collaborate with colleagues and work together to support the research group's activities.\nWe want you to have:\nMaster's degree in computer science or similar.\nSignificant documented experience with software development, especially related to systems and environments for cybersecurity evaluation.\nSignificant documented experience with large-scale software development in *nix environments, including version control, testing, continuous integration, and documentation, for example through active contribution to larger open source projects.\nScientific curiosity and the ability to think independently.\nAbility to express yourself well in speech and writing in English.\n\nIt is a merit if you have:\nDoctorate in an area relevant to the position.\nKnowledge of and published research in cybersecurity, software engineering, and\/or adaptive systems.\nDocumented experience with virtualization environments.\nDocumented experience with system administration, e.g. Ansible and Linux.\n\n \nYour workplace\nYou will work in the Cybersecurity Division where research focuses on securing the most critical functions of the digital society. In a large number of national and European projects, methods are developed for, for example, verification, intrusion detection, and AI-based cybersecurity. The research also includes protection of critical infrastructure, such as smart grids and secure software supply chains.
