Operations are divided into 4 strategic areas: exhibition activities and researcher communication, research and education, technical development, and innovation clusters, supported by a central support organization.  \nVisualization Center C, the Division of Media and Information Technology (MIT) at Link\u00f6ping University's renowned research and development unit Applied Visualization is now seeking a Research Engineer with focus on 3D reconstruction, neural rendering, and geospatial digital twins.\nAbout the job\nYou will work on research and development projects focused on 3D reconstruction, AI-based visualization, and geospatial digital twins. The role involves developing reality-based 3D environments and visualization solutions based on image data, sensor data, and geospatial information within the framework of Visualization Center C, Link\u00f6ping University, and related external projects. \nAbout you\nWe are looking for a developer with strong expertise in 3D reconstruction, neural rendering, and geospatial digital twins. You should have experience with Structure from Motion, photogrammetry, Gaussian Splatting, or similar techniques, as well as a good understanding of geospatial data, simulation in Unreal Engine, and Python programming. \nThe role is particularly suitable for you if you want to work at the intersection of drone data, digital twins, simulation, and advanced visualization. You will collaborate with researchers, developers, and external partners on projects spanning visualization, simulation, and analysis of complex real-world data. \nWe would like you to have experience in: \n3D reconstruction and Structure from Motion, such as photogrammetry, camera calibration, and reconstruction from image data. \nNeural rendering, such as Gaussian Splatting, NeRF, or similar methods for creating realistic 3D environments. \nGeospatial data and digital twins, including georeferencing, GIS, map data, and work with reality-based 3D models. \nSimulation and real-time visualization in game engines, particularly Unreal Engine. \nPython programming. \n\nIt is advantageous to have experience with drone data, drone simulation, autonomous navigation, computer vision, or AI-based analysis of image and sensor data. \nGreat weight will be placed on personal qualities and suitability.\nYour workplace\nYou will work at the unit https:\/\/liu.se\/forskning\/tillampad-visualisering led by Erik Sund\u00e9n.
