Together, we create a work environment where both students and staff are engaged and work toward each other's success.\nJob Responsibilities\nThe education is delivered on behalf of Employment and Adult Education in Gothenburg.\nAs a teacher in this position, you will instruct future hairstylists and, to some extent, barbers. This is a student group that, as adults, chooses to train or retrain for a new profession in hairdressing. The education is structured over 15 months and leads to the opportunity to take the Hairdressers' Association first examination and work as a hairstyling apprentice.\nIn your role, in addition to teaching all vocational courses, you will also provide mentoring and oversee APL (students' work-based learning). As a mentor, you build relationships with students and take overall responsibility for their learning and development toward the goal of becoming a hairstyling apprentice. You have experience and a strong ability to collaborate with the industry, salon owners, and supervisors, as part of students' education is conducted in workplace settings.\nIn collaboration with school leadership and colleagues, you contribute to creating favorable conditions for students to thrive, develop, and achieve their goals. As part of the team, you become instrumental in ensuring students reach their full potential both in school and in their professional practice.\nQualifications\nWe are looking for someone who is trained and certified as a hairstyling instructor to teach vocational courses included in the Swedish National School Agency's national package for hairstyling apprentices.\nAs a teacher, you are passionate about helping students achieve their professional dreams.
