At the Gothenburg Probation Service, we have approximately 300 employees and we continue to expand.\nJob Description\nAt the Gothenburg Probation Service, work is organized in teams that primarily work with:\n- Clients who are conditionally released or sentenced to supervision\n- Youth supervision\n- Clients sentenced to community service\n- Preparation for client release from prison\n- Motivation and treatment programs\n- Intensive supervision with electronic monitoring, known as electronic tagging\n- Personal investigations and statements to the court where you recommend appropriate sanctions.\nAs a probation inspector, you will have individual responsibility for your cases and will have considerable contact and client interaction in your daily work. You will conduct risk and needs assessments and develop plans for clients' time in the criminal justice system. A large part of today's probation work is conducted using the KRIMSTICS method, which is an approach that combines structured risk assessments with a conversational method based on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Administration and documentation are part of the work.\nIt is important that you are comfortable working in a structured manner based on legislation, are at ease in client-centered work consisting of multiple and long-term contact interactions, and work with evidence-based interventions to prevent recidivism and exercise government authority.\nIn this recruitment, we are seeking probation inspectors who work as supervisors as well as probation inspectors who work with motivation and treatment programs.\nQualifications\nFor the position of probation inspector, you must have good judgment, be able to work independently and take initiative, as well as have a strong ability to collaborate.
