We are now seeking a nature conservation case handler for the Nature and Wildlife Affairs unit.\n\nWhat does the role involve?\n\nAs a case handler specializing in invasive species and nature conservation matters, you will work with planning measures to combat invasive species, as well as handling nature conservation cases. The role is varied and involves both independent work and close collaboration with other stakeholders.\n\nYour main work tasks include:\n\nwork with terrestrial invasive alien species and measures related to these,\nprocurement and coordination of initiatives and control measures as well as information dissemination,\nhandling of nature conservation cases according to the Environmental Code,\ngranting of exemptions and permits as well as supervision matters linked to area protection, general habitat protection, and 12:6 consultation.\n\nYou will collaborate with other subject areas, authorities, landowners, and stakeholders to balance different interests and find long-term sustainable solutions. When needed, you will work with supervision campaigns and supervision guidance according to the Environmental Code.\n\nAre you the person we're looking for?\n\nFor this role you should have:\n\na university degree in a natural science subject, preferably biology, or equivalent as assessed by the employer,\nat least six months' experience in handling cases according to the Environmental Code at a municipality or authority,\ngood ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing,\na driving license (Category B).\n\nTo thrive and succeed in the role, we see that you are responsible and results-oriented, with the ability to plan and drive your work forward in a structured manner. You have a good ability to compile information and weigh different interests, often in collaboration with other subject areas. As a rule, we apply a six-month probationary period. As a permanent employee at the County Administrative Board of Stockholm, you will be registered for civil defense allocation according to the needs of total defense.\n\nWe work in centrally located premises in Stockholm. Possibility for remote work arrangement exists based on operational needs. In the Environmental Department, approximately 120 employees work today.
