Therefore, a genuine interest in service is important for you to thrive in this role. In your daily work, you will handle booking inquiries (over the desk, phone, and email), check guests in and out, assist with questions throughout the day, and serve from the reception caf\u00e9. The reception is not only the face of the hotel outward but also the hub for communication between the housekeeping department and the kitchen\/restaurant. It is therefore important that you understand the value of good communication and proper planning.
