We work closely with many different functions and as a Lead Engineer - Plants, you will play a key role in driving transparency around technical solutions and their impact on projects that contribute to a greener future.\"\n\u2013 Kamilla Sommarsj\u00f6, Global Head HVDC Lead Engineers - Plants\nHow You'll Make an Impact\nProvide strong technical leadership across Plants and Civil engineering teams and their interfaces.\nPrimary contact for technical communication with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.\nDrive completion of engineering activities in tenders and projects, working closely with technical leads, project managers, and interface managers.\nManage technical risks and ensure compliance with quality, safety and engineering processes.\nSupport installation and commissioning activities by providing expert technical guidance.\nLead development of new technical solutions while interpreting customer's needs and expectations.\nTake a strategic role in defining Plants and Civil solutions for onshore HVDC converter stations and offshore platforms.\nCoordinate engineering activities across key disciplines, including:\nElectromechanical Design\nStation Auxiliary Power Systems\nCivil Engineering\nAuxiliary Systems (eg Fire Protection, HVAC, Security Systems)\nEnsure effective coordination and management of interfaces between engineering disciplines throughout the project lifecycle.\nRepresent the Plants discipline in customer meetings, partner discussions, and technical reviews.\nYour Background\nAcademic degree in Engineering (for example within Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related area)\nAt least 5 years of engineering experience, including experience of leading technical teams, multidisciplinary engineering activities or complex projects is required.\nExperience within HVDC, transmission systems, substations, electrical power systems, offshore wind, or other large-scale energy infrastructure projects is highly valued.\nStrong technical understanding with the ability to quickly develop expertise in HVDC technology and systems.\nA collaborative and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to build trust and influence stakeholders across functions and geographic locations.\nStrong leadership skills and the confidence to make technical decisions when required.\nExcellent communication skills and the ability to present technical solutions in a clear and structured manner.\nFluency in English, both verbally and written, is required.
