You do not need years of work experience, we care more about your mindset, technical foundation and eagerness to learn.\nLet us tell you about the role \ud83d\udcd6 As a Junior Data Engineer, you'll be a part of our central data team and collaborate closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders to build and improve our data platform. You'll play an important role in building the data foundations behind modern AI products and intelligent agents while exploring how AI systems interact with and make use of data in real-world applications.\nIn this role, you'll also\n\nSupport data ingestion and pipeline maintenance using tools such as Airbyte and Dataform\n\n\nWrite and maintain basic SQL transformations, data models, and data quality checks\n\n\nHelp structure and document data models, metrics, and business definitions\n\n\nSupport the development of the semantic layer in Omni\n\n\nInvestigate data issues and help ensure data is accurate, reliable, and easy to use\n\n\nYour story so far \ud83d\udc40 We are looking for someone who is structured and takes ownership of their work. We believe you are self-driven, communicative and comfortable collaborating with both technical teams and stakeholders. You value quality, enjoy learning and understand the importance of strong foundations when building scalable and reliable data solutions.\nFurthermore, we believe you have:\n\nA degree or recently completed studies in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field\n\n\nSome knowledge of SQL\n\n\nBasic programming experience, preferably in Python\n\n\nAn interest in databases, data modeling, analytics, and modern data platforms\n\n\nCuriosity about semantic layers, metrics, information modeling, and AI-driven data solutions\n\n\nYou might have experience with some of the following areas, but don't worry if you don't, we're more interested in your overall potential and willingness to learn.\n\nSchool projects, internships, thesis work, or personal projects involving data\n\n\nData modeling concepts such as facts, dimensions, entities, relationships, or star schema\n\n\nTools such as Omni, dbt, LookML, Cube, BigQuery, Snowflake, Airflow, or similar\n\n\nGit or other version control tools\n\n\nBI tools such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar\n\n\nThe Nextory way of working \ud83c\udfe0 At Nextory, we believe a strong and inclusive culture is key to our success and that culture flourishes when we meet and collaborate in person as much as possible.
