You will work closely with data engineers, data scientists, analysts, game teams, and other business functions to ingest, transform, test, and document data from games and corporate systems.\nKey Responsibilities\nData Pipelines & Integration:\n\n\n\nBuild and maintain data ingestion and transformation pipelines under the guidance of senior team members.\n\n\nIntegrate data from game telemetry, platforms, and corporate systems into our data platform.\n\n\nSupport scheduled and event-driven data workflows and help troubleshoot pipeline failures.\nData Modelling & Quality:\n\n\n\nDevelop and maintain reliable data models that make data easier to use for analytics and reporting.\n\n\nWrite tests and validation checks to identify incomplete, inconsistent, or inaccurate data.\n\n\nMonitor data freshness and pipeline performance and help resolve issues.\nDocumentation, Governance & Collaboration:\n\n\n\nDocument data sources, pipelines, models, ownership, and operational procedures.\n\n\nFollow standards for security, privacy, access control, and responsible data handling.\n\n\nWork collaboratively with data engineers, analysts, data scientists, game teams, and other stakeholders.\n\n\n\nQualifications\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor's degree (or equivalent, e.g., higher vocational education diploma) in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.\n\n\n0-2 years of experience in data engineering, software development, analytics engineering, or a related role (internships and academic or personal projects count).\n\nTechnical Skills\nProgramming Languages: Working knowledge of Python or a similar programming language.\n\n\nSQL & Databases: Experience writing SQL queries and a basic understanding of relational databases.\n\n\nData Pipelines: Basic understanding of ETL\/ELT concepts and data transformation.\n\n\nSoftware Practices: Familiarity with Git, testing, debugging, and structured development workflows.\n\n\nData Quality: An understanding of why reliable, documented, and well-governed data matters.\n\nSoft Skills\nProblem Solving: A structured approach to investigating issues and finding practical solutions.\n\n\nAttention to Detail: Care in handling data and verifying that solutions work as intended.\n\n\nCommunication: Good written and verbal communication skills.\n\n\nTeam Player: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.\n\n\nCuriosity & Growth: A desire to learn, take feedback, and develop as a data engineer.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nFamiliarity with a cloud data platform or cloud provider, such as Snowflake, AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.\n\n\nExposure to data transformation or orchestration tools such as dbt or Airflow.\n\n\nBasic knowledge of infrastructure as code, containers, or CI\/CD.\n\n\nUnderstanding of data governance and best practices for data privacy and security.\n\n\nPrevious experience or a strong interest in the gaming industry.\n\nWhat We Offer\nOpportunity to learn from experienced data professionals in a creative and supportive environment.\n\n\nHands-on experience with modern data platforms, tools, and engineering practices.\n\n\nProfessional development opportunities and a clear path to grow your skills and responsibilities.\n\n\nA chance to build the data foundations behind games enjoyed by millions of players worldwide.\n\n\n\nParadox Interactive is an Equal Opportunity Employer\nWe celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
