To organize the participation of unemployed persons and job seekers in active employment measures and preventive unemployment reduction measures.\n\nRequirements for the candidate:\nBachelor's or second-level professional higher education:\nobtained or obtaining (second-year student) a professional Master's degree in education science with a qualification - career consultant or a professional Master's degree in human resources management or psychology;\none year of experience in career counseling or two years of experience in client counseling (in resolving social and\/or employment issues), if the candidate has obtained a Bachelor's degree in pedagogy or social work;\none year of experience in career counseling is desirable if the candidate has obtained a Bachelor's degree in psychology or a professional Master's degree in education science with a qualification in career consulting or human resources management, or is currently a second-year student in these Master's programs;\nwork experience in career counseling of at least five years, if the candidate has obtained a Bachelor's or second-level professional higher education, except for those who have obtained or are obtaining (second-year student) a professional Master's degree in education science with a qualification in career consulting or a professional Master's degree in human resources management, excluding Bachelor's graduates in psychology, pedagogy, or social work;\nwork experience in employment and\/or personnel selection is desirable;\nknowledge of regulatory acts in force in the Republic of Latvia within the scope of the position's competencies;\ncounseling skills;\nknowledge of the personnel selection process;\ncommunication, presentation, planning, control, and analytical skills;\nability to assess facts, anticipate and mitigate risks;\nenglish language skills for communication with clients of other nationalities are desirable;\ncomputer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to work with office equipment;\na valid e-signature tool is required to perform the duties of the position.\n\nMain duties of the position:\nprovide individual and group career counseling sessions in accordance with client preferences and counseling objectives, organized by thematic category;\nidentify and provide counseling to target groups of clients (long-term unemployed, persons returning from parental leave, young people, persons with special needs, clients aged 50+, persons after serving sentences in detention facilities, persons currently serving sentences in detention facilities, etc.);\ntaking into account the client's needs (including using profiling methods for unemployed persons) and suggestions, determine measures to be included in the Individual Job Search Plan or Job Seeker Card that would promote the client's return to the labor market;\nplan client participation and ensure the fulfillment of the results indicators for career counseling sessions approved by the Agency;\norganize and conduct appropriate candidate selection for filling vacant positions upon request from employers.\n\nWe offer:\nwork in a state institution with the opportunity to gain diverse professional experience;\nmonthly salary from EUR 1160.00 to EUR 1330.00 (before tax deduction) in accordance with individual monthly salary determination criteria assessment;\nsocial guarantees in accordance with those established in the public administration;\nadditional vacation days (up to 10 working days per year);\nresponsible and knowledgeable colleagues;\nprofessional development of knowledge with opportunities to participate in various trainings;\nhealth insurance policy after three months of service.\n\nMotivated cover letter, CV, and a copy of document confirming education should be submitted to the Agency by September 15, 2026, by sending to e-mail: konkursi@nva.gov.lv with the indication \"C\u0113su_fili\u0101les_karjeras_konsultants\"\n\nFor candidates who obtained their education abroad, please attach a document on its academic recognition in Latvia.\nThe candidate evaluation commission will not evaluate applications that do not have the documents specified in the advertisement attached.\nWe will contact those candidates who are selected for the second round of personnel selection.\n\nThe selection competition will take place in three rounds:\n\nFirst round - evaluation of candidates' education and work experience based on submitted documents.\nSecond round - practical tasks, based on the results of which the candidate's professional knowledge will be assessed.\nThird round - interview, during which the candidate's knowledge and competencies will be assessed in accordance with the requirements set for the position.
