As a structural engineer, you will become an important part of the team and work closely with both clients, architects, and building experts.\nVery varied projects\nAt our firm, one assignment might involve visiting an apartment on \u00d6stermalm where the customer wants to remove a load-bearing wall and needs structural calculations and drawings.\nThe next assignment could be an older building where structural drawings are completely missing and where the existing structure needs to be investigated, documented, and drawn up.\nWe also work on larger projects such as extensions and new construction where complete structural documentation needs to be prepared.\nExamples of work tasks\nStructural calculations and dimensioning\n\n\nPreparation of structural drawings\n\n\nStructural documentation for building permits and production\n\n\nBreakdown of load-bearing walls\n\n\nDimensioning of beams, columns, floor slabs, and other load-bearing elements\n\n\nAssessment of existing structures\n\n\nSite visits and technical investigations\n\n\nDevelopment of structural solutions for older buildings where drawings are missing\n\n\nRenovations and extensions\n\n\nNew construction of residential homes and other buildings\n\n\nCo-design work together with architects and building experts\n\n\nCommunication with clients and other consultants\n\nWe are seeking both junior and senior structural engineers\nYou don't need to know everything on day one.\nFor a junior structural engineer, the most important thing is that you have relevant education, great technical interest, and a desire to develop.
