To thrive and succeed in your role, it is important that you share the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's fundamental values of a humane view of humanity, respect for the individual, and belief in human development.\nAs a correctional officer, you have daily contact with clients and work closely with both colleagues and other professionals. Your tasks are varied and include care, supervision, inspection, and security work, as well as counseling\/motivational work and planning related to the client's sentence.\nYou will begin your employment at the workplace with a three-week orientation. After a period of service, you will be offered a place in the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's mandatory eight-week basic training. You will receive salary during the entire training period. During the probationary period, ongoing assessments will be conducted that form the basis for the possibility of a permanent position.\nGruvberget Prison is located in a nature-near environment with limited public transportation options. There are no bus connections to the workplace, which means you need to have a class B driving license and access to a car to get to and from work.\nFor employees with long commutes, there is also some possibility of overnight accommodation at the workplace by agreement.\nQualifications\nYour personal qualities are important to us. As a correctional officer, you need to be confident, stable, and have good self-awareness. You work together with your colleagues to run the facility and therefore need to have good teamwork skills and be clear in your communication. In your professional practice, good judgment and integrity are required. You have the physical ability to act when the situation requires it.\nWe are looking for someone who has:\nComplete upper secondary education or other education combined with work experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service considers relevant\nWork experience, also in the form of seasonal work, temporary employment, or self-employment.
