Could you tell us a bit about what makes the Main Stage and Kulturhuset Stadsteatern such a special workplace?\nAbsolutely! We are part of the production technical unit responsible for equipping and realizing various productions and events at Sergels torg. It is a place where art meets technology in a very exciting way. We have about ten stages and a team of approximately 100 people working in stage, lighting, sound, and video. Our work ranges from theater performances to musicals, author talks, circus acts, and concerts. Here you get the opportunity to be part of something big and creative.\n \nCan you tell us more about the tasks and responsibilities a sound technician on the Main Stage would have?\nAs a sound technician on the Main Stage, you are a key player in the production team. Your work includes everything from developing sound and music elements to programming in Qlab, handling microphones, and managing orchestra mixing.\nYou will also rig sound equipment and support the overall sound technical work for productions. Additionally, we are a team that works closely together, so you can expect to help with scene changes and support lighting and video functions when needed.\n \nWhat are the most important technical skills and knowledge you see as necessary for a sound technician on the Main Stage?\nTo succeed in the role of sound technician on the Main Stage, it is important to have strong knowledge of Qlab and experience with network protocols such as Dante.\nExperience with Yamaha mixing consoles is a great advantage, and if you have previously worked with musicals or repertory theater, that is also a merit. We also see it as a plus if you have completed Audinate's web-based training in Dante.\n \nThis sounds like an exciting opportunity for sound technicians with various backgrounds.
