At PAVA you will meet patients with palliative care needs and their loved ones. Care is delivered using a person-centered approach and work is conducted in teams with nursing assistants, physicians, and social workers. The team also includes occupational therapists, physical therapists, and dietitians. In your daily work, you will be responsible for the care of four patients together with two nursing assistants.\n\nAs an employee, you will be involved in developing palliative inpatient care in the J\u00e4mtland-H\u00e4rjedalen region together with the unit's nurse manager and staff from the specialized palliative home care unit Storsj\u00f6gl\u00e4ntan. PAVA operates 24\/7 and you will work night shifts by agreement. In dialogue with the patient\/loved ones, provide support for optimal participation and pursue person-centered care based on a palliative approach.\nYour nursing duties include direct patient care work. Using structured methods, you will identify palliative care needs together with the team, prescribe and prioritize preventive measures. You are responsible for medication management including injections, infusions, and pain pumps. You work in a team and collaborate closely with nursing assistants, physicians, social workers, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and dietitians.\nOrientation takes place with the nurse manager and unit nurse manager.\r\n\r\nQUALIFICATIONS\r\nWe are looking for a licensed registered nurse.
