With specialized expertise, high service standards, and good collaboration, the Operations Unit is an important part of the operational and crime-fighting work in West Region.\nTraffic Section\nThe main mission of the Traffic Section in West Region is oversight of commercial traffic and traffic surveillance on the national road network, as well as maritime police operations. The section consists of maritime police, traffic surveillance, investigation, and support and service. Our investigation teams are tasked with investigating and preventing traffic accidents and traffic offenses related to heavy and commercial traffic.\nThe Maritime Police's primary mission is to ensure the Police Authority's needs in the maritime environment. Maritime environment is defined as: coastlines, islands, and water areas above and below the water surface. Police Region West also has national responsibility for maritime police operations in Sweden together with the Stockholm Maritime Police. We are located at T\u00e5ngudden Harbor, V\u00e4stra Fr\u00f6lunda. Our fleet consists of a variety of vessels, from jet skis to larger ships. The personnel currently consists of two maritime police teams.\nWe are now seeking a handler with maritime capabilities for our maritime police teams.\nJob Duties\nThe overall job duties will include general service and maintenance of all maritime police vessels as well as troubleshooting and repair of onboard equipment. The duties vary from day to day with a focus on minimizing vessel downtime.\nThe duties also include, in consultation with the immediate supervisor, maintaining good documentation of service and maintenance, and maintaining contact with the shipyards and workshops that the Police Authority has contracted with. The assignment also involves performing service, troubleshooting, and repairs of our fleet.
