The Material\/Logistics Coordinator will report to the Project Director and will perform the duties described in the job description below.\nResponsible for the daily operation linked to the logistics and delivery flow\nImprove and optimize logistics processes, both locally and globally\nCoordinate with suppliers, customs and shipping providers\nBook special shipments and manage the procurement of stock and logistics abroad\nCoordinates and expedites all shipments to and from the company. This includes both domestic and international (imports and exports).\nMakes sure the company complies with import\/export regulations about product classifications and any other documentation requirements such as NAFTA certificates and Shipper's Export Declarations.\nOrganize and maintain the proper files as required by regulations.\nResponsible for monitoring rates and charges with third-party freight carriers and negotiating reduced fees, as well as coordinating and scheduling all pick-ups and deliveries using third-party freight carriers and freight forwarders.\nVerifies all incoming shipments for accuracy and is responsible for properly recording received goods information.\nResponsible for major, highly complex domestic and\/or international projects, and for ensuring compliance with Aquatech's established quality standards and business requirements.\nNegotiate agreements to obtain favorable terms and conditions and coordinate the design and implementation of programs to recognize and encourage optimum performance.\nPromote and initiate measures to improve customer satisfaction and the organization's operations by such means as the introduction of the latest strategies and technologies.\nThe ideal candidate will be able to purchase all commodities and technical equipment (e.g., pumps, valves, instruments, controls, vessels, and piping) for the manufacturer of water and wastewater treatment systems promptly.\nGenerate bid request documents, review quotations when received, prepare bid tabulation spreadsheets, and negotiate orders within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.\nExpedite all orders on assigned projects to obtain and maintain product deliveries and documentation submittals.\nContacts vendors with discrepancies in quantity and quality.\nFile data and compile records and reports for multiple orders on multiple projects simultaneously.\nInterface with all departments to resolve problems and issues.\nCoordinate and oversee the receipt, inspection, storage, and issuance of project materials and equipment.\nMaintain accurate inventory records in the ERP or material tracking system.\nEnsure material availability aligns with project schedules and production needs.\nTrack material usage and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system data.\nCollaborate with procurement, logistics, and site teams to forecast material requirements.\nVerify supplier documentation, packing lists, and delivery notes for accuracy.\nSupport logistics coordination for inbound and outbound material shipments.\nImplement and maintain material control procedures to ensure traceability and compliance.\nPrepare regular reports on material status, shortages, and surplus inventory.\nEnforce safety and housekeeping standards in material storage areas.\n\nSkill Requirements:\n\nResponsible for the daily operation linked to the logistics and delivery flow\nImprove and optimize logistics processes, both locally and globally\nCoordinate with suppliers, customs and shipping providers\nBook special shipments and manage the procurement of stock and logistics abroad\nAbility to perform computer applications using MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and SAP.\nDuties\/tariff\/classification knowledge\nCommercial and trade laws\nVAT recovery\/Taxation knowledge (overseas)\nAbility to communicate effectively with customers and maintain a positive attitude and good organizational skills.\nAbility to plan and manage multiple tasks or proposals.\nAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision.\nAbility to demonstrate initiative and willingness to learn and grow in responsibility on the job.\nExcellent negotiation skills and success in directing vendor selection activities.\nDemonstrated leadership skills and ability to guide direct reports to effectively accomplish performance goals.\nWorking knowledge of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).\nCan speak English and Swedish at a professional level","language":"sv","is_translated":true,"title_original":"Materials Controller","description_original":"Aquatech is a global leader in water purification systems technology for both industrial and infrastructure markets located in the United States and internationally.
