We are now looking for a Mechanical Engineer at St\u00e5lverket in Avesta who wants to help drive our operations forward.\n\n\nWhat does the role entail?\nAs a Mechanical Engineer, you will become an important technical resource within Asset Management and work to ensure that our production equipment delivers the right quality, availability, and safety based on both design requirements and regulatory requirements.\nYou will work closely with production, maintenance, reliability engineers, project organizations, and external suppliers. The role combines technical problem-solving with long-term development and investments. You will work with technical feasibility studies, root cause analyses, risk assessments, and development of our long-term investment plans.\n\n\nYour main responsibilities are to:\n\u2022  Identify, analyze, and manage risks related to functional safety and equipment reliability.\n\u2022  Support and participate in root cause analyses and propose technical improvements.\n\u2022  Evaluate replacement solutions for aging and obsolete equipment.\n\u2022  Contribute to long-term investment plans based on lifecycle and reliability analyses.\n\u2022  Participate in requirements definition, procurement, and follow-up for investments and installations.\n\u2022  Lead technical feasibility studies, including budget, scheduling, and coordination of affected functions.\n\u2022  Perform technical analyses and calculations within areas such as strength, material selection, and simulation.\n\u2022  Ensure that mechanical documentation is correct, up to date, and follows our standards.\n\u2022  Participate in and review technical changes through our Management of Change process (MOC).\n\n\nWho are you?\nWe believe that you are driven by understanding and developing technical solutions and thrive in a role where you can combine analysis with practical problem-solving.
