Following the new construction, we can claim to be one of Sweden's largest and most modern emergency departments with capacity for approximately 70,000 patients annually. A new pediatric emergency unit has been established in the new facility with its own dedicated pediatric pathway! A new radiology unit is also located adjacent to the emergency department.\nThe Emergency Department in Sk\u00f6vde is one of the region's five trauma hospitals. We handle patients in acute conditions, with many patients treated and discharged directly from the emergency department, while others require continued care or follow-up at the hospital's various clinics. We receive patients requiring care in internal medicine, surgery, orthopedics, urology, infectious diseases, pediatrics, gynecology, ear\/nose\/throat, and ophthalmology.\nWe are now seeking a medical secretary for a permanent position with us. Does this sound interesting?\nResponsibilities\nAs a medical secretary, you are the administrative hub! You'll have varied and meaningful work with us, including traditional dictation transcription for all types of medical specialties seeking our assistance, as well as other administrative tasks. We register and receive ambulances, answer calls from relatives and others calling the emergency department, and more. We also manage the hospital-wide bed coordination function, a task that can be both developmental and challenging. This task is mainly relevant during nighttime shifts for you as a medical secretary.\nWith increased digitalization, we've also found opportunities for task rotation, where some of us also staff the emergency department's reception, making us the first point of contact for patients seeking care with us. More activities are planned for the future, which will make the role even broader and more interesting!\nQualifications\nYou are a trained medical secretary. Experience in acute care and experience working as a medical secretary are viewed positively, but not required.\nTo provide good and safe care, it's important that you have good language skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and an eye for quality.\nFor this role, you also need to be well-organized and service-oriented. You have good collaboration and communication skills, can prioritize your work, and quickly adapt your work pace and shift tasks based on what's most important for the patient, here and now.
