The position also includes winter road maintenance.\n\nJob duties include, among other things:\n\n\u2022 Maintenance of grass areas, flower beds, plantings, trees, and shrubs.\n\u2022 Weeding, planting, pruning, and watering.\n\u2022 Supervision and maintenance of playgrounds and outdoor environments.\n\u2022 Cleaning and litter collection in parks, green areas, and around municipal properties.\n\u2022 Maintenance of pathways, squares, entrance areas, and other paved surfaces.\n\u2022 Maintenance of green areas around schools, preschools, retirement homes, and other municipal operations.\n\u2022 Snow removal and anti-icing of pathways, entrances, parking areas, and other prioritized surfaces during winter.\n\u2022 Handling of hand tools and machines such as grass trimmer, hedge shears, leaf blower, riding mower, tool carrier, and other common work machines.\n\nParticipation in other work tasks within the Technical Department as needed. Work is performed primarily outdoors during all seasons and can periodically be physically demanding.
