Work tasks are performed based on the individual's influence, participation, and self-determination with attentiveness and respect.\n\nYou will work with a child born in 2017 who needs daily support due to significant functional variations. The work tasks as a personal assistant vary and are performed primarily in the individual's home. The home is located within a 5km radius outside the city center. Support includes daily hygiene, dressing and undressing, tube feeding, mobility assistance, play, and helping the child do as much as possible of what a child of their age normally does.\n\nWe are now seeking an engaged team member who can work day\/evening shifts and every other weekend.\n\nWork is performed according to a fixed six-week schedule, covering day and evening shifts as well as weekends. During the weeks, school occurs two days\/week, swimming one day\/week, and daily training at home. The work team consists of three day\/evening staff members and three night staff members. The position is a permanent position at 100%.\n\nAs of fall 2025, the assistance program has transitioned to VAS (activity-adapted schedules), and personal assistance staff are offered full-time employment within \u00d6rnsk\u00f6ldsviks municipality.\n\nQualifications\nWe are looking for someone who is a nursing assistant or has other education or experience that the employer considers sufficient. We would like you to have further education or training focused on functional disabilities.\n\nExperience working in healthcare and care is an advantage. If you have experience with non-verbal communication, tube feeding, epilepsy, respirators, cough assist machines, medication delegation, and using mobility aids, that is also an advantage.\n\nIt is important that you enjoy and are comfortable working with people, and that you are flexible and open to new ideas and working methods to meet the assistance recipient's needs and wishes. Your approach to the user and family needs to be trustworthy, attentive, and calm.\n\nThe position requires sufficient knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, to perform documentation and to advocate for the user.
