The degree should have been completed no more than three years before the application deadline. If there are special circumstances, the doctoral degree may have been completed earlier. Special circumstances include parental leave, leave due to illness, positions of trust within trade union organizations, service in the armed forces or other similar circumstances, or clinical work or work relevant to the subject area or assignments.\nAn individual employed as a postdoctoral researcher may not have previously been employed as a postdoctoral researcher at Uppsala University within the same or related subject area for more than one year.\nSelection Criteria\nWhen selecting among eligible applicants, particular emphasis will be placed on research merits within cardiology. Personal suitability will be considered important.
