We are seeking a postdoctoral fellow for the Svenskt Krut competence center at KTH, where academia, government agencies, and industry work together to strengthen Sweden's capabilities in nitrocellulose (NC).\nIn the project, we are establishing a reliable analytical package for nitrocellulose. Your role is to develop and validate methods for NC's most important properties \u2013 including degree of substitution, molecular weight and molecular weight distribution, moisture and residual acid content, as well as stability and energy content \u2013 and to manage a comparative measurement study (round-robin) between KTH, FOI, and industry.\nYou will characterize ongoing NC batches for a shared sample bank, build a reference database, and use AI-supported data analysis to compare quality and identify deviations. The work takes place at the Department of Fiber and Polymer Technology and in close collaboration with FOI, with at least one extended work visit there.\nQualifications\nRequirements\nCompleted doctoral degree or foreign degree assessed as equivalent to a doctoral degree.
