The department also oversees Gothenburg Port's Grants Office, focusing on identifying funding opportunities and creating conditions for development and investment projects through external financing. The position belongs to the Public Affairs and Marketing & Communication department and reports to the Head of Public Affairs and Marketing & Communication.\nAbout the Role\nAs a Public Affairs & Grants Manager, you will work at the intersection of business, politics, and societal development. The role combines strategic Public Affairs work with responsibility for the company's Grants Office.\nYou will analyze political initiatives, regulatory changes, and external trends affecting the port's operations and future development. You contribute analyses and decision-making materials to management and operations and represent Gothenburg Port in dialogues with authorities, politicians, industry organizations, and other external stakeholders.\nThe work is conducted in close collaboration with other team members in the department and in close cooperation with other departments in the company.\nSimultaneously, you are responsible for identifying, coordinating, and driving work with external financing. Through close collaboration with operations, you match funding opportunities with strategic projects and manage application processes and monitoring of approved grants.\nKey Areas of Responsibility\nThe role includes, among other things:\nAnalyzing political initiatives, legislation, and regulatory changes affecting Gothenburg Port\nPreparing environmental analyses, briefing materials, decision-making documents, talking points, response statements, and messaging\nContributing to the development of the company's Public Affairs strategy and prioritized advocacy issues\nBuilding and developing relationships with politicians, authorities, industry organizations, and other relevant stakeholders\nRepresenting Gothenburg Port AB at seminars, conferences, hearings, and consultations\nMonitoring national and European funding programs\nIdentifying and matching funding opportunities with the company's projects and development initiatives\nCoordinating and driving application processes for national and European grants and subsidies\nManaging monitoring, reporting, and documentation of approved grants\nContributing to the development of strategic partnerships with external actors, research institutions, and organizations in the transport, logistics, and infrastructure sectors\n\nQualifications\nWe are looking for someone who has:\nRelevant academic education in political science, law, economics, social sciences, or equivalent\nSeveral years of experience in qualified work in Public Affairs, government, politics, industry organizations, or similar fields\nGood understanding of Swedish political decision-making processes and regulatory matters\nExperience writing analyses, decision-making documents, and other materials for management and decision-makers\nExperience leading or coordinating complex projects with multiple stakeholders\nExperience with external project financing and grant applications\nExcellent ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing\n\nIt is a merit if you have:\nExperience with funding programs such as CEF, Klimatklivet, Industriklivet, or similar support schemes\nExperience from the transport, logistics, or infrastructure sector\n\nWho Are You?\nTo succeed in the role, you are analytical, proactive, and have a strong ability to build trusting relationships.
